Monthly, in the Valley newsletter, our editor has been including an article about the success of the "On The Level" Masonic information event that Grand Lodge offers our lodges for use during public events. I applaud our editors' efforts. It makes me wonder, however, how many of our lodges are taking advantage of how this comprehensive program can assist each of our individual lodges overall membership program. When I look at the statistics, I suspect your lodge is not using it.

At today's Orange County reception for the Grand Master, he opined at the record-breaking success California lodges are again having in initiating new members and raising master masons. Three of California's most active lodges in raising master masons are right here in our Orange County backyard, and I suspect theyall have discovered the many tools that are available for use by your individual lodge membership committee.

Hollywood has recently been very kind with free Masonic publicity. Novelists have also been generally kind with that same publicity, and more is on the way soon. What a shame, however, that more Orange County lodges aren't taking advantage of this publicity, and good will, along with the tools that are already in place for your use such as "On The Level", and "Pass It On". So my question is why are you not taking advantage of the good times?

Concluding his remarks at today's reception, the Grand Master said that now is either the time for us to get on the train of success, or the time to get off the tracks so the train can pass by. I hope you will hop on the train and enjoy the ride. The whistle is already blowing.
